A few things
to keep in mind.
LitterBox is made by Mark Shenouda. This page explains app licensing, guest software, and the practical responsibilities of running your own virtual machines.
App license
The Mac App Store version of LitterBox uses Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, unless a different license is expressly supplied with the app. Store purchases, billing, and refunds are handled under the applicable App Store terms. This page does not replace that license or limit mandatory consumer rights.
Guest operating systems and tools
Apple and Canonical supply the macOS and Ubuntu installation media used by LitterBox. You are responsible for complying with the licenses of the guest operating system and any tools you install inside it. LitterBox does not grant additional rights to those products.
LitterBox uses Apple's Virtualization framework. It is an independent app and is not endorsed by Apple or Canonical. Apple, Mac, macOS, and the Mac App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc. Ubuntu is a trademark of Canonical Ltd.
Your experiments, files, and credentials
Choose guest software, network access, and shared folders with care. A virtual machine provides a separate environment but does not make arbitrary software safe or replace backups. Guest software may access files in shared folders and services reachable over an enabled network.
Fresh Litter discards changes made after the saved clean state. Toss Box deletes the Box's local files. Preserve anything important before either action. Keep any credentials you enter into the guest secure, and follow the terms of the services you connect to.
Availability and support
LitterBox is being prepared for its first Mac App Store release. Features and system requirements on this site describe the current app and may change with future releases. Operating-system downloads depend on the availability and compatibility of the provider's images.
